The M1 Villanova University Wildcats relied on the scoring touch of Nicholas Schultz, who netted two goals, to beat the M1 Towson University Tigers, 3-1.

Schultz found the back of the net 15:48 into the third period to make the score 2-0 M1 Villanova University and again while 17:32 into the third to make the score 3-1 M1 Villanova University.

M1 Villanova University was led by goalie Michael Harper, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Harper will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.77.

The Wildcats' penalty kill excelled, as M1 Villanova University gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

By firing 32 shots on goal, the Wildcats exceeded the 0.4 shots they average per game this year.

Troy Donahue also scored for M1 Villanova University. In addition, M1 Villanova University received assists from Michael Miniconzi, who had two and Daniel Jigarjian and Jack Skaggs, who each chipped in one.

M1 Towson University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four M1 Villanova University power plays. The Tigers were held below their usual level of production. M1 Towson University averages 3.9 goals per game. The Tigers' offense rang up 32 shots on M1 Villanova University's net.

M1 Towson University was led by Matt Stella, who scored the team's only goal. Stella scored on the power play 17:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M1 Villanova University. A tripping penalty on Miniconzi had put the Tigers on the power play. Casey Jendras provided the assist.

The Wildcats incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. M1 Towson University's Tyler Stewardson stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
