The M1 Colorado / University of Golden Buffaloes gutted out a close 4-3 win against the M1 Colorado State University Rams.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Mick Bruce's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

M1 Colorado State University's power play was ineffective against M1 Colorado / University of's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Golden Buffaloes were led by Bruce, who finished with one goal. Bruce scored on the power play 12:34 into the third period to make the score 4-3 M1 Colorado / University of. A high sticking penalty on Justin Schneeberger had put M1 Colorado / University of on the power play. Luc Neitenbach picked up the assist.
