M1 Colorado / University of survives M1 Colorado State University comeback, wins 3-1

The M1 Colorado State University Rams tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the M1 Colorado / University of Golden Buffaloes would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1.

A goal by Jake Bauer put M1 Colorado / University of up 3-0 in the third period, but M1 Colorado State University pulled to within two on Nicholas ODonnell's tally 18:40 into the third period.

The Rams were stymied by the Golden Buffaloes' netminder Alex Palumbo, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Palumbo managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.0 prior to the game.

M1 Colorado / University of racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 17 minors and two majors for 44 minutes in penalty time. The Golden Buffaloes surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. M1 Colorado / University of's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 12 M1 Colorado State University power plays. The Golden Buffaloes put 24 shots on net during the contest, more than the 21.3 they average per game.
