M1 Arizona State University survives M1 Arizona / University of comeback, wins 3-1

The M1 Arizona / University of Wildcats tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the M1 Arizona State University Sun Devils held on for a 3-1 victory.

A goal by Liam Norris put M1 Arizona State University up 3-0 in the third period, but M1 Arizona / University of pulled to within two on Alex ODea's tally 14:15 into the third period.

The Wildcats were stymied by the Sun Devils' netminder Robert Levin, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. The solid play of Levin will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.85.

M1 Arizona State University put 35 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.3 it averages per game.

The Sun Devils were helped by Edward Mcgovern, who finished with one goal. Mcgovern scored on the power play 13:44 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M1 Arizona State University. M1 Arizona State University had gained a power play chance when Matt Reed was whistled for interference. M1 Arizona State University also got a goal from Michael Cummings as well.
