M1 Arizona / University of falls to M1 Colorado State University in overtime, 3-2 (OT)Tucson Convention Center Thu, Oct 30, 2014 The M1 Colorado State University Rams pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the M1 Arizona / University of Wildcats on a clutch goal by Zac Novack. M1 Colorado State University nearly gave up a two-score lead. The Rams made the score 2-0 on a goal by Jamison Wicks at 24 seconds in the third period. M1 Arizona / University of got to within 2-1 on a goal by Michael Adamowicz at 1:43 in the third period. M1 Colorado State University's penalty kill excelled, as the Rams gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. By firing 21 shots on goal, M1 Colorado State University exceeded the 2.2 shots it averages per game this year. The defensemen of the Rams were also effective in the Wildcats' zone, and came away with two goals. M1 Colorado State University was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 20 penalty minutes. Dylan Hassell also scored for M1 Colorado State University. More assists for M1 Colorado State University came via William Neff and Nicholas ODonnell, who each chipped in two.
