M1 Adrian College rips M1 Rochester College, 8-2

The M1 Rochester College Warriors had trouble finding ways to stop the M1 Adrian College Bulldogs, which beat Warriors, 8-2.

M1 Adrian College got the win thanks to a great game by Brad Kobryn, who had two goals and one assist. Kobryn scored the first of his two goals short handed at 2:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Adrian College. The Bulldogs were on a disadvantage when Sam Johnston went off the ice for boarding. Kobryn's next tally short handed made the score 5-1 M1 Adrian College with 7:05 left in the second period. M1 Adrian College had gotten the advantage when M1 Rochester College's Matt Kadolph was sent off for high sticking. Justin Fisher assisted on the tally.

The Bulldogs forced the Warriors goalie Zakk Olvin to work between the pipes, taking 57 shots. M1 Adrian College found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Bulldogs have scored at the pace of 4.7 goals per game during the current campaign. M1 Adrian College was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. The defensemen of the Bulldogs were also effective in M1 Rochester College's zone, and came away with two goals.

M1 Adrian College also got points from Matt Zaremba, who also registered one goal and two assists. M1 Adrian College also had goals scored by Justin Polischuk, who had two and Adam Bristol, Zachary Mackay, and Josh Hosking, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Adrian College received assists from Ted Anstett, who had two and Andre Rakas, Trevor Benaglio, Matthew Oneill, Archie Mckinnon, and Frank Crupi, who each chipped in one.

The Warriors put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.8 they average per game.

M1 Rochester College was led by Dakota Olvin, who racked up one goal and one assist. Olvin scored on the power play 6:14 into the second period to make the score 4-1 M1 Adrian College. The Warriors earned a power play opportunity when Kobryn was put in the box for slashing. M1 Rochester College also got a goal from Doug Lindensmith as well. More assists for M1 Rochester College came via Garrett Gostek, who had one.

Frank Crupi made seven saves before being replaced by Matthew Schnoes, who took the win and made 18 saves. M1 Adrian College ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For the Bulldogs, Johnston was ejected from the game. Olvin rejected 49 shots on goal for M1 Rochester College. The Warriors totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. M1 Rochester College ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Josh Foster was ejected from the game.
