M1 Rochester College beats M1 Oakland University 6-5 after comeback scareFraser Hockeyland Sat, Jan 31, 2015 The M1 Oakland University Golden Grizzlies tried their best to erase a five-goal deficit, but the M1 Rochester College Warriors would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-5. M1 Rochester College made the score 6-1 on a goal by Doug Lindensmith at 17:12 in the second period, and M1 Oakland University got as close as 6-5 when Ryan Rotondi scored 3:37 into the third period. The Warriors stifled the Golden Grizzlies' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. By firing 21 shots on goal, M1 Rochester College exceeded the 1.9 shot it averages per game this year. The Warriors surpassed their usual scoring output this season. M1 Rochester College has scored at the pace of 3.5 goals per game during the current campaign. M1 Rochester College additionally got points from Joshua Botimer, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Garrett Gostek, who also had one goal and one assist, and Brock Malatches, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Christopher Williford also scored for M1 Rochester College.
