M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois survives M1 Rochester College comeback, wins 4-2

The M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois Eagles, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the M1 Rochester College Warriors and clinched a 4-2 victory.

M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Eagles' Nathan Chasteen scored at 7:19 in the second period to put M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois up 3-0.

The Eagles forced M1 Rochester College goalie Zakk Olvin to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.

M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois was helped by Robert Chapman, who had one goal. Chapman scored 13:32 into the third period to make the score 4-2 M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois. Nick Ernst provided the assist. M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois also got points from Gavin Burbach, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Derek Winkler, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois received assists from Derek Diaz, Jordan DeYoung, Brett Leppek, and Connor McGovern, who contributed one each.

The Warriors were helped by Doug Lindensmith, who grabbed one goal. Lindensmith scored 11:15 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois. Dakota Olvin assisted on the tally. M1 Rochester College also got a goal from Jake Zarzycki as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Rochester College were Joshua Botimer and Garrett Gostek, who each chipped in one.

Anthony Petrak recorded 26 saves for the Eagles. M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois ended with no penalties and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Zakk Olvin made 43 saves for M1 Rochester College on 47 shots. The Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
