M1 Rochester College rolls over M1 Kent State University, 9-2

The M1 Kent State University Golden Flashes had trouble finding ways to stop the M1 Rochester College Warriors, which beat Golden Flashes, 9-2.

M1 Rochester College got the win on the strength of a great game by Spencer Ashby, who had one goal and two assists. Ashby scored 16:37 into the first period to make the score 3-0 M1 Rochester College. Jake Zarzycki picked up the assist.

The Warriors pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 41 penalty minutes.

M1 Rochester College forced M1 Kent State University's goalies to work in net, taking 42 shots and forcing 33 saves. Zachary Nowak made 28 stops and Cesare Dall Ara made five. The Warriors surpassed their usual scoring output this season. M1 Rochester College has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

M1 Rochester College additionally got points from Zarzycki, who also registered one goal and one assist, Joey Giordano, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Kyle Truscott, who also had one goal and one assist, and George Holt, who also finished with one goal and one assist. M1 Rochester College also had goals scored by Garrett Gostek, Brock Malatches, Doug Lindensmith, and Dean Gordon, who scored one goal each.
