Lindensmith's big game bests M1 Duquesne University in 8-2 M1 Rochester College win

Doug Lindensmith was all over the ice for the M1 Rochester College Warriors, as he tallied two goals and two assists in M1 Rochester College's 8-2 win over the M1 Duquesne University Dukes.

Lindensmith's tallies came at 14:06 into the first period to make the score 2-2 and 5:27 into the second to make the score 3-2 M1 Rochester College.

The Warriors' penalty kill excelled, as M1 Rochester College gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

The Warriors surpassed their usual scoring output this season. M1 Rochester College averages 3.8 goals per game. The Warriors put 37 shots on net during the contest, more than the 4.0 they average per game. M1 Rochester College was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 20 penalty minutes.

M1 Rochester College also got points from Matt Kadolph, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Brock Malatches, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for M1 Rochester College included Joey Giordano, who had two and Joshua Botimer and Kyle Truscott, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Rochester College received assists from Brian Fonseca, Jake Zarzycki, Josh Foster, Dakota Olvin, and Alex Kopek, who contributed one each and Spencer Ashby and George Holt, who each chipped in two.

M1 Duquesne University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 21 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.7 shot per game it averages.

The Dukes were helped by Derek Richardson, who racked up one goal. Richardson scored 10:40 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Luke Wagner assisted on the tally. M1 Duquesne University also got a goal from Julian Rizza as well. More assists for M1 Duquesne University came via Nolan Trombetta, who had one.

Brenden Kruckenberg made 19 saves for the Warriors on 21 shots. M1 Rochester College registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Michael Dginto rejected 29 shots on goal for M1 Duquesne University. The Dukes incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
