Derek Willms had a standout game with 36 saves, and the M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves beat the M1 Rhode Island / University of Rams 3-1.

M1 Stony Brook University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes.

The Seawolves were sparked by Vincent Lopes, who tallied one goal. Lopes scored 9:14 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M1 Stony Brook University. JT Hall picked up the assist.

M1 Stony Brook University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six M1 Rhode Island / University of power plays. The Seawolves could not produce up to their normal offensive output.
