Freeman's goals lift M1 Delaware / University of to 4-1 victory over M1 Rhode Island / University of

Behind a great game by Maxwell Freeman, who had two goals, the M1 Delaware / University of Blue Hens defeated the M1 Rhode Island / University of Rams, 4-1.

Freeman scored at 6:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Delaware / University of and again while on the power play 1:40 into the third to make the score 3-1 M1 Delaware / University of.

M1 Rhode Island / University of was stymied by M1 Delaware / University of's netminder Dylan Troiano, who stopped 42 shots during the victory. The solid play of Troiano will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.33.

The Blue Hens pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 16 penalty minutes.

M1 Delaware / University of's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven M1 Rhode Island / University of power plays. The 19 shots that the Blue Hens put on net surpassed M1 Delaware / University of's average of 2.9 shots per game this season. The defensemen of the Blue Hens were also effective in the Rams' zone, and came away with three goals.

Others who scored for M1 Delaware / University of included Steven Braun and Cole Zucker, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Delaware / University of received assists from Leo Skehan, John Redgate, and Joe Bastone, who contributed one each.
