Dusetzina nets hat trick, leads M1 Slippery Rock University to 4-2 win over M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania

Charles Dusetzina lifted the M1 Slippery Rock University Pride to a 4-2 victory with a hat trick against the M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks.

Dusetzina's first goal came 12:46 into the third period. He then added goals at 14:24 into the third and at 19:54 into the third.

M1 Slippery Rock University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania to score on any of its five power plays. With 25 shots on target during the contest, the Pride exceeded the 0.5 shots they average per game this year.

Justin Drzemiecki also scored for M1 Slippery Rock University. More assists for M1 Slippery Rock University came via Jonathan Gratton, who had two and Alex Shimoloens, Joseph Bender, Josh McCuean, and Garrett Godlewski, who each chipped in one.

The Crimson Hawks stifled M1 Slippery Rock University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.2 it averages per game. The Crimson Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania was helped by Joakim Karlsson, who racked up one goal. Karlsson scored 4:11 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania. Reid Duguid provided the assist. M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania also got a goal from Patrick Hunter as well. In addition, M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania received assists from Dalton Becker, who had one.

The Pride took out Cameron Raidna after he had made nine saves and installed Lee Anderson in goal, where he finished with 16 saves and the win. M1 Slippery Rock University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Robert Stock rejected 21 shots on goal for the Crimson Hawks.
