M1 Towson University uses fast start to beat M1 Lehigh University, 10-2

The M1 Towson University Tigers jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the M1 Lehigh University Mountain Hawks, 10-2.

M1 Towson University got the win behind a great game by Jeremy Snyder, who had one goal and three assists. Snyder scored 9:31 into the first period to make the score 3-0 M1 Towson University. Michael Darosa assisted on the tally.

The Tigers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 25 penalty minutes.

M1 Towson University stifled M1 Lehigh University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Tigers' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, M1 Towson University averages 3.9 goals per contest. The defensemen of the Tigers were also effective in the Mountain Hawks' zone, and came away with two goals. M1 Towson University put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.8 it averages per game.

M1 Towson University additionally got points from Joe Vonakis, who also racked up two goals and two assists, Nicholas Vonakis, who also had three goals and one assist, Chris Szoka, who also registered one goal and two assists, Matt Stella, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Nicholas Alfaro, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
