M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog pulls away in second, rolls over M1 Saint Bonaventure University, 7-2

The M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog Tigers scored four goals in the second period to pull away from the M1 Saint Bonaventure University Bonnies and clinch a 7-2 win.

M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog got the win on the strength of a great game by Adam Kristan, who had one goal and two assists. Kristan scored 11:49 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog. Timothy Render picked up the assist.

The Tigers stifled M1 Saint Bonaventure University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog bested its season scoring average. The Tigers average 3.4 goals per game. M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. By firing 55 shots on goal, the Tigers exceeded the 0.5 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog also got points from Alex Nyzio, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Jake Wexler, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Daniel Miller, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog also had goals scored by Jacob Zaremski, Kyle Moslow, and John Wickes, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog received assists from Nigel Honegger, Michael Irwin, Kenny Luzak, and Tyler Devore, who contributed one each.

Nicholas Amato recorded 25 saves for M1 Rochester Institute of Technolog. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Bonnies' starting goalie, Alex Feyche, made 42 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Roberto Arredondo Bahensky, who stopped six shots. M1 Saint Bonaventure University registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
