M1 Ohio University squeaks by M1 Illinois / University of, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Ohio University Bobcats escaped with a 4-2 victory over the M1 Illinois / University of Fighting Illini.

M1 Ohio University gained the winning advantage on a goal by Nathan De La Torre 1:50 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Michael Harris was all over the ice for the Bobcats, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Harris scored the first of his two goals at 17:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Ohio University. Joey Breslin picked up the assist. Harris' next tally made the score 4-2 M1 Ohio University with 9:26 left in the third period. Patrick Spellacy assisted on the tally.

M1 Ohio University's penalty kill excelled, as the Bobcats gave up one goal despite allowing 10 power plays.

M1 Ohio University's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Bobcats finished with 36 penalty minutes. M1 Ohio University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 36 shots on goal during the game, better than the 3.3 shots per game it averages.
