Early goals doom M1 West Chester University, falls to M1 Stony Brook University, 15-1

A six-goal first period deficit cost the M1 West Chester University Golden Rams, which could not recover and fell to the M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves, 15-1.

M1 Stony Brook University got the win thanks to a great game by Joseph Bochichio, who had two goals and four assists. Bochichio scored the first of his two goals at 18:15 into the second period to make the score 13-1 M1 Stony Brook University. Billy Freely picked up the assist. Bochichio's next tally made the score 14-1 M1 Stony Brook University with 16:42 left in the third period. Andrew Balzafiore provided the assist.

M1 West Chester University threw everything it had at the Seawolves' Brendan Jones, but he responded by making 21 saves to secure the win.

M1 Stony Brook University forced the Golden Rams' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 71 shots and forcing 56 saves. Mike Amoroso made 34 stops and Michael Rice made 22. The Seawolves excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances.
