Williams' goals lift M1 Drexel University to 9-6 victory over M1 Penn State University Berks

Behind a great game by Ryan Williams, who had two goals, the M1 Drexel University Dragons defeated the M1 Penn State University Berks Nittany Lions, 9-6.

Williams' tallies came at 6:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Drexel University and 19:16 into the first to make the score 6-2 M1 Drexel University.

M1 Drexel University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

In a losing effort, M1 Penn State University Berks was led by Jesse Abarca, who registered two goals and one assist. Abarca scored the first of his two goals at 12:12 into the second period to make the score 7-4 M1 Drexel University. Tyler Lantz assisted on the tally. Abarca's next tally made the score 8-6 M1 Drexel University with 12:57 left in the third period. Zachary Higgins picked up the assist.

The Dragons put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Nittany Lions to score on any of their eight power plays. M1 Drexel University's goal total was higher than its season average. The Dragons average 4.5 goals per game. M1 Drexel University's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. M1 Drexel University was unable to stop M1 Penn State University Berks from sending pucks towards the net, and the Nittany Lions eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

M1 Penn State University Berks additionally got points from Lantz, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Penn State University Berks included Liam Sheehan, Christopher Cashin, and Kent Lantz, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Penn State University Berks received assists from Alec Dellavecchia, who had two and Vincent Pantalone and Joshua Buohl, who contributed one each.

Zachary Kantner recorded 31 saves for the Dragons. M1 Drexel University registered two goals on four power play opportunities. M1 Penn State University Berks' Justin Golia stopped 26 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Nittany Lions incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
