The M1 Drexel University Dragons and the M1 Syracuse University Orange were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Drexel University made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Ryan Beneduce secured the win for the Dragons with a goal in the third period.

Ryan Williams had one goal and two assists to lead M1 Drexel University. Williams scored 15:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Drexel University.

The Dragons stifled M1 Syracuse University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. By firing 31 shots on goal, M1 Drexel University exceeded the 1.2 shot it averages per game this year.

M1 Drexel University also had goals scored by Matthew Williams and Tyler Woyshner, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Drexel University received assists from Jim Mikalic, who had one and John Quigley, who had two.

The Dragons were unable to stop the Orange from sending pucks towards the net, and M1 Syracuse University eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

The Orange were helped by Mitchell Lesueur, who grabbed one goal. Lesueur scored 4:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Drexel University. John Ross LaPointe picked up the assist. Tim Elie also scored for M1 Syracuse University. More assists for M1 Syracuse University came via Thomas DiPasquale, who had one.

Zachary Kantner rejected 33 shots on goal for M1 Drexel University. The Dragons incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jaime Ketchabaw recorded 27 saves for M1 Syracuse University. The Orange incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
