M1 Mercyhurst University outlasts M1 Canisius College, 4-2

The game between the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers and the M1 Canisius College Golden Griffins was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end M1 Mercyhurst University emerged with a 4-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Joseph Tadiello secured the win for the Lakers with a goal in the second period.

Tadiello had a great game for M1 Mercyhurst University, netting two goals.

The Lakers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M1 Canisius College to score on any of its five power plays. The 36 shots that M1 Mercyhurst University put on net surpassed the Lakers' average of 1.1 shot per game this season.

M1 Mercyhurst University additionally got points from Jesse Valasek, who also racked up one goal and two assists. M1 Mercyhurst University also got a goal from Patrick Schafer as well.
