Pate nets hat trick, leads M1 Delaware / University of to 12-2 win over M1 Rutgers University

The M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights could not stop the M1 Delaware / University of Blue Hens' Ryan Pate, who tallied a hat trick in a 12-2 win.

Pate's first goal came 9:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 58 seconds into the second and at 7:44 into the second.

M1 Delaware / University of led 5-1 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

The Blue Hens excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. M1 Delaware / University of bested its season scoring average. This season, the Blue Hens average 3.3 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. M1 Delaware / University of put 62 shots on net during the contest, more than the 6.2 it averages per game.

M1 Delaware / University of additionally got points from Maxwell Freeman, who also grabbed two goals and two assists, John Redgate, who also racked up one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Andrew Corapi, who also registered one goal and one assist, Gabriel Colona, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Cole Zucker, who also had two goals and one assist.
