Huge game by Saputo boosts M1 Oakland University over M1 Rochester College, 5-1ONYX 1 Fri, Jan 30, 2015 The M1 Oakland University Golden Grizzlies relied on the sparkling performance of Sean Parker in net to grab a 5-1 win against the M1 Rochester College Warriors. Frank Saputo was all over the ice for M1 Oakland University, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Saputo scored on the power play 5:20 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Oakland University. A cross checking penalty on Joey Giordano had put the Golden Grizzlies on the power play. Kyle Nelson provided the assist. M1 Oakland University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 27 penalty minutes. The Golden Grizzlies cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances. M1 Oakland University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 42 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.0 shot per game it averages. M1 Oakland University additionally got points from Michael Mackinnon, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
