M1 Lindenwood University uses shootout to best M1 Arizona State University, 3-2 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Lindenwood University Lions defeated the M1 Arizona State University Sun Devils in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout.

M1 Lindenwood University managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Lions wound up below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. M1 Lindenwood University kept M1 Arizona State University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Robert Levin made 29 saves on 32 shots.

The Lions were helped by Rock Einersen, who had one goal. Einersen scored 10:46 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M1 Lindenwood University. Michael Lozano picked up the assist. M1 Lindenwood University also got a goal from Kevin Walters as well. More assists for M1 Lindenwood University came via Jake Fairchild and Adam Newkirk, who each chipped in one.
