M1 Iowa State University boosted by Cooper's play in net, beats M1 Lindenwood University 2-1

The M1 Iowa State University Cyclones relied on the sparkling performance of Matt Cooper in net to grab a 2-1 win against the M1 Lindenwood University Lions.

M1 Iowa State University's penalty kill excelled, as the Cyclones gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

M1 Iowa State University was led by Zack Johnson, who finished with one goal. Johnson scored 17:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Iowa State University. Trevor Lloyd picked up the assist.

The Cyclones stifled M1 Lindenwood University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. With 25 shots on target during the contest, M1 Iowa State University exceeded the 0.3 shots it averages per game this year. The Cyclones could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Iowa State University also got points from Lloyd, who also registered one goal and one assist.
