M1 Adrian College survives M1 Lindenwood University comeback, wins 6-4Lindenwood Univ. Arena Fri, Sep 19, 2014 The M1 Adrian College Bulldogs survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Lindenwood University Lions on the way to a 6-4 win. A goal by Robert Bodette put M1 Adrian College up 6-3 in the third period, but M1 Lindenwood University pulled to within two on Jake Fairchild's tally 19:55 into the third period. The Bulldogs got the win on the strength of a great game by Bodette, who had two goals and one assist. Bodette scored the first of his two goals at 15:19 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Adrian College. Alex Dobrzeniecki provided the assist. Bodette's next tally made the score 6-3 M1 Adrian College with 2:07 left in the third period. M1 Adrian College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Others who scored for M1 Adrian College included Brad Kobryn, who had two and Darren Tarasoff and Chris Derochie, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Adrian College came via Andre Rakas and Justin Fisher, who each chipped in two. The Bulldogs were unable to stop the Lions from sending pucks towards the net, and M1 Lindenwood University eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Lions struggled on the penalty kill, allowing M1 Adrian College to score three power play goals on five chances. M1 Lindenwood University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. The Lions were helped by Michael Lozano, who registered one goal. Lozano scored 12:36 into the third period to make the score 5-3 M1 Adrian College. Riley Spraggs picked up the assist. M1 Lindenwood University also had goals scored by Kevin Walters and Rock Einersen, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Lindenwood University received assists from Tobias Nasgarde, Stephen Bopp, and Brandon Rumble, who contributed two each. The Bulldogs' Matthew Schnoes stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. M1 Adrian College ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. The Bulldogs ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matthew Oneill was ejected from the game. Cody Karpinski made 19 saves for M1 Lindenwood University on 25 shots.
