M1 Ohio University rolls over M1 Rutgers University, 8-1

The M1 Ohio University Bobcats were firing on all cylinders against the M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights, and when the final buzzer sounded Bobcats emerged with an 8-1 win.

M1 Ohio University was led by Tom Whetsel, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Whetsel scored 3:08 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M1 Ohio University. Mike LaFrenier assisted on the tally.

The Bobcats' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M1 Rutgers University power plays. M1 Ohio University surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Bobcats have scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign. With 35 shots on target during the contest, M1 Ohio University exceeded the 3.1 shots it averages per game this year.

M1 Ohio University additionally got points from Mike Kretz, who also registered one goal and two assists and Liam Geither, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
