The M1 Ohio University Bobcats relied on the scoring touch of Michael Harris, who netted two goals, to beat the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers, 3-0.

Harris found the back of the net 14:29 into the second period to make the score 1-0 M1 Ohio University and again while on the power play 11:24 into the third to make the score 2-0 M1 Ohio University.

M1 Ohio University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Bobcats put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.9 they average per game. M1 Ohio University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Joey Breslin also scored for M1 Ohio University. More assists for M1 Ohio University came via Tom Whetsel, who had two and Logan Pfeffer, Matt Wipper, Paul Sergi, and Drew Crandall, who each chipped in one.

M1 Mercyhurst University allowed the opposing goalie to relax, taking only nine shots on goal to force nine saves. However, the Lakers launched more shots in the game than the 1.9 per game they average. M1 Mercyhurst University did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Lakers average 3.8 goals per game.

Scott Boyd rejected nine shots on goal for the Bobcats. M1 Ohio University registered one goal on four power play opportunities. M1 Mercyhurst University's Bryan Danczak stopped 24 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Lakers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
