Huge game by Harris boosts M1 Ohio University over M1 Mercyhurst University, 8-2

Michael Harris had two goals and one assist to lead the M1 Ohio University Bobcats to an 8-2 victory over the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers.

Harris scored at 12:58 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 15:34 into the first to make the score 2-1 M1 Ohio University.

M1 Ohio University's penalty kill excelled, as the Bobcats gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

M1 Ohio University found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Bobcats have scored at the pace of 4.3 goals per game during the current campaign. M1 Ohio University's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Bobcats finished with 16 penalty minutes. With 42 shots on target during the contest, M1 Ohio University exceeded the 2.9 shots it averages per game this year.

M1 Ohio University additionally got points from Tyler Pecka, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Patrick Spellacy, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Joey Breslin, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Adam Steranko, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Matt Wipper, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Nathan De La Torre also scored for M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats' Ryan Heltion stopped 16 shots out of the 18 that he faced. M1 Ohio University registered two goals on six power play opportunities. M1 Mercyhurst University's starting goalie, Bryan Danczak, made 34 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Adam Goss, who stopped zero shots. The Lakers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
