Huge game by Tomassi boosts M2 Lewis University over M3-Ball State University, 7-4

M2 Lewis University's Craig Tomassi had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing four assists in his team's 7-4 win over M3-Ball State University.

Tomassi found the back of the net on the power play 11:32 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M2 Lewis University and again while 4:31 into the third to make the score 7-3 M2 Lewis University.

With 44 shots on target during the contest, M2 Lewis University exceeded the 1.0 shot it averages per game this year. M2 Lewis University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

M2 Lewis University also got points from Jason Pischke, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Patrick Gill, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Kevin Riedy also scored for M2 Lewis University. In addition, M2 Lewis University received assists from Nicholas Johnsen, Cody Post, Ethan Sweeney, and Joseph Santelli, who contributed one each.

By firing 24 shots on goal, M3-Ball State University exceeded the 0.1 shots it averages per game this year.

M3-Ball State University was helped by Kyle Terhune, who had two goals. Terhune scored the first of his two goals at 19:44 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brock Frazer assisted on the tally. Terhune's next tally made the score 2-2 with 11:03 left in the second period. M3-Ball State University had gained a power play chance when Sweeney was whistled for roughing. Frazer picked up the assist. M3-Ball State University additionally got points from Frazer, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for M3-Ball State University were Josh Wilkinson, who had two and Daniel Aultman and Jeremy Gentner, who each chipped in one.

Zachary Prkut rejected 20 shots on goal for M2 Lewis University. M2 Lewis University registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Macklan Hayes made 37 saves for M3-Ball State University on 44 shots. M3-Ball State University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
