M1 Oklahoma / University of survives M1 Iowa State University comeback, wins 3-2

The M1 Iowa State University Cyclones tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the M1 Oklahoma / University of Sooners held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Matt McKinney put M1 Oklahoma / University of up 3-1 in the second period, but M1 Iowa State University pulled to within one on Zack Johnson's tally 12:10 into the third period.

McKinney was all over the ice for the Sooners, as he racked up two goals in the win.

M1 Oklahoma / University of could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Oklahoma / University of also got a goal from Jordan Greenberg as well. More assists for M1 Oklahoma / University of came via Derek Tylka and Bryce Johnson, who each chipped in one.

The Cyclones were helped by Eero Helanto, who had one goal. Helanto scored 7:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Iowa State University. Alex Grupe provided the assist. In addition, M1 Iowa State University received assists from Jake Bruhn and Scott Antonsen, who contributed one each.

The Sooners registered one goal on three power play opportunities. M1 Iowa State University incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
