M2 Boston University falls to M2 Northeastern University after surprising comeback

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, M2 Northeastern University battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over M2 Boston University.

M2 Northeastern University never led in the game until netting the game winner. M2 Northeastern University was down 3-1 after a goal by M2 Boston University's Michael Gates at 4:42 in the third period. M2 Northeastern University knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by John Gosbee at 16:11 in the third period. M2 Northeastern University netted the game winner on the power play at 19:55 in the third period on a goal by Gosbee.

M2 Northeastern University got the win with help from a great game by Kyle Demers, who had two goals and two assists. Demers scored the first of his two goals at 12:19 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Connor Twaddle assisted on the tally. Demers' next tally made the score 3-2 M2 Boston University with 10:03 left in the third period. Gosbee picked up the assist.

M2 Northeastern University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. M2 Northeastern University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 31 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.6 shots per game it averages.

M2 Northeastern University also got points from Gosbee, who also registered one goal and one assist. Evan Jones also scored for M2 Northeastern University. In addition, M2 Northeastern University received assists from Michael Harris and Kenneth Phillips, who each chipped in one.
