M2 Merrimack College boosted by DeCastro's play in net, beats M2 Bryant University 3-1

Derek DeCastro stood on his head and made 31 saves to lead M2 Merrimack College to a 3-1 victory over M2 Bryant University.

M2 Merrimack College was sparked by Anthony Antonetti, who registered one goal. Antonetti scored on the power play 9:21 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M2 Merrimack College. M2 Merrimack College had gotten the advantage when M2 Bryant University's Nicholas Gerlach was sent off for tripping. Jeff DeLoria picked up the assist.

M2 Merrimack College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. By firing 33 shots on goal, M2 Merrimack College exceeded the 1.8 shot it averages per game this year.

M2 Merrimack College also got points from Chris Mahanna, who also racked up one goal and one assist and DeLoria, who also registered one goal and one assist.

M2 Bryant University put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.6 it averages per game. M2 Bryant University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.
