M3-North Carolina - Wilmington uses early goal to top M2 North Carolina State University, 4-2

Bennett Clark gave the M3-North Carolina - Wilmington Seahawks the lead in the first period, and the M2 North Carolina State University Wolfpack was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2.

Clark provided M3-North Carolina - Wilmington with the game-winning tally when he scored 10:15 into the first period. Rob Sprankle picked up the assist.

Tyler Evangelous had a great game for the Seahawks, netting two goals. Evangelous found the back of the net 17:00 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M3-North Carolina - Wilmington and again while 19:47 into the third to make the score 4-2 M3-North Carolina - Wilmington.

M3-North Carolina - Wilmington put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 North Carolina State University to score on any of its four power plays. The Seahawks' offense was clicking better than usual and put 35 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.1 shots per game they average.
