M3-East Carolina University falls to M3-Coastal Carolina University in overtime, 7-6 (OT)

M3-Coastal Carolina University pulled out a 7-6 (OT) overtime victory over M3-East Carolina University on a clutch goal by Matthew Kinchla.

M3-Coastal Carolina University got the win behind a great game by Steven Kaufmann, who had one goal and two assists. Kaufmann scored on the power play 7:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Coastal Carolina University. M3-Coastal Carolina University had gained a power play chance when Mike Lynn was whistled for cross checking. Andrew Kelly assisted on the tally.

In the losing effort, M3-East Carolina University was sparked by Brett Murch, who registered two goals. Murch scored the first of his two goals at 10:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1.
