M2 Elon University made the score 2-0 on a goal by Maxx Forti at 14:21 in the second period, and M2 Duke University got as close as 2-1 when Ellis Baehr scored 1:04 into the third period. The Phoenix were sparked by Sam Sarath, who racked up one goal. Sarath scored 18:39 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M2 Elon University. Matt Williamson assisted on the tally. M2 Elon University put 52 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.2 it averages per game.
