M1 Towson University wins tough contest against M1 Ithaca College, 6-4

The M1 Towson University Tigers and the M1 Ithaca College Bombers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Towson University made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4.

The Tigers gained the winning advantage on a goal by Casey Jendras 3:47 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

M1 Towson University got the win behind a great game by Chris Szoka, who had one goal and three assists. Szoka scored 15:43 into the first period to make the score 3-1 M1 Towson University. Jeremy Snyder assisted on the tally.

The Tigers stifled M1 Ithaca College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. With 47 shots on target during the contest, M1 Towson University exceeded the 0.3 shots it averages per game this year.

M1 Towson University also got points from Jendras, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Towson University included Nicholas Vonakis, who had two and David Sheilds and Matt Stella, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Towson University came via Joe Vonakis, who had two and Riley Heisler, Brandon Potter, Justin Leitch, Dylan Comella, and Ian Dykstra, who each chipped in one.

M1 Ithaca College also had goals scored by Matthew Hadley and Tim Foster, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Ithaca College received assists from Joey Hanf, who had one.
