Egan's big game bests M1 Oakland University in 8-3 M1 Liberty University winLaHaye Ice Center Fri, Feb 06, 2015 Ryley Egan had four goals and one assist to lead the M1 Liberty University Flames to an 8-3 victory over the M1 Oakland University Golden Grizzlies. Egan got on the scoresheet 6:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:38 into the first, at 5:23 into the third, and at 11:14 into the third.M1 Oakland University's eight penalties came back to haunt it, as the Golden Grizzlies let up four goals while on the penalty kill. M1 Liberty University bested its season scoring average. The Flames average 5.0 goals per game. M1 Liberty University struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 16 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. With 40 shots on target during the contest, the Flames exceeded the 28.2 shots they average per game this year. M1 Liberty University also got points from Lindsay LeBlanc, who also registered one goal and three assists and Robert Ward, who also tallied one goal and one assist. M1 Liberty University also had goals scored by Colt Steele and Paul Lamoureux, who scored one goal each. More assists for M1 Liberty University came via Cam Bakker, who had two and Ben Hughes, Chase Harris, Kyle Garcia, and Bram Erickson, who contributed one each. M1 Oakland University kept M1 Liberty University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Pinel made 30 saves on 33 shots. The Golden Grizzlies could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. M1 Oakland University was helped by Doug Andrews, who had one goal. Andrews scored 10:19 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Oakland University. Donovan Bewick provided the assist.
