M1 Liberty University blows out M1 Rochester College, 7-3LaHaye Ice Center Sat, Jan 17, 2015 The M1 Liberty University Flames were firing on all cylinders against the M1 Rochester College Warriors, and when the final buzzer sounded Flames emerged with a 7-3 win. M1 Liberty University got the win on the strength of a great game by Ben Hughes, who had one goal and three assists. Hughes scored 7:05 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M1 Liberty University. Lindsay LeBlanc picked up the assist. M1 Rochester College's power play was ineffective against the Flames' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. M1 Liberty University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Flames' offense was clicking better than usual and put 53 shots on goal during the game, better than the 29.3 shots per game they average. The Warriors were led by Joshua Botimer, who had one goal and two assists. Botimer scored 6:01 into the third period to make the score 6-3 M1 Liberty University. Kyle Truscott provided the assist. M1 Rochester College also had goals scored by Christopher Williford and Doug Lindensmith, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Rochester College came via Brian Fonseca, who had one. Cary Byron recorded 25 saves for M1 Liberty University. The Flames incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For M1 Liberty University, Robert Ward was ejected from the game. M1 Rochester College's Zakk Olvin stopped 46 shots out of the 53 that he faced. The Warriors incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
