St. Marys falls apart in second, loses to Chatham, 10-3

The St. Marys Lincolns allowed the Chatham Maroons to net seven goals during the second period and fell, 10-3.

Chatham got the win on the strength of a great game by Brennan Feasey, who had four goals and two assists. Feasey's first goal came 3:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:23 into the second, at 15:51 into the second, and at 19:46 into the second.

The Maroons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Marys was unable to stop Chatham from sending pucks towards the net, and the Maroons eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. Chatham surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Maroons have scored at the pace of 5.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Chatham also got points from Jared Dennis, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Steven Szekesy, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Gus Ford, who also registered one goal and two assists, Connor Doran, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Brayden Hopkins, who also had one goal and two assists, and Steven Beenackers, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Chatham received assists from Brett Storr, who had two and Connor McKinnon, Trevor Richardson, Nate Pietens, Mark Fratarcangelli, and Ian Faubert, who each chipped in one.

The Lincolns were helped by Greg Swan, who registered one goal. Swan scored 2:04 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Chatham. Jake Alkins assisted on the tally. Others who scored for St. Marys included Braedyn Aubin and Brent House, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Brandon Morrow, Sean O`Brien, and Nathan Smith, who contributed one each.

Bo Bessette made 10 saves before being replaced by Jake Patterson, who took the win and made 15 saves. Chatham incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. St. Marys' Tyler Beattie stopped 35 shots out of the 45 that he faced. The Lincolns incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
