London downs Leamington in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The London Nationals' Drew Worrad scored 1:24 into overtime to beat the Leamington Flyers, 2-1 (OT).

London was led by goalie Connor Hughes, who finished with 30 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Hughes will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.31.

The Nationals were led by Worrad, who tallied one goal and one assist.

London excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Derek Todosichuk also scored for London. In addition, London received assists from Justin Murray, who had one and Mitchell Kreis, who had two.

Leamington was held below its usual level of production. The Flyers put an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. The Nationals were unable to stop Leamington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flyers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Leamington was led by Matthew Opblinger, who scored the team's only goal. Opblinger scored 18:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Leamington. Chris Scott provided the assist.

London incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Trevor Wheaton recorded 28 saves for the Flyers. Leamington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
