Battisti stymies London, LaSalle wins 4-1Vollmer Recreation Complex Sun, Nov 09, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
A stellar performance between the pipes by Paolo Battisti helped the LaSalle Vipers defeat the London Nationals, 4-1. LaSalle pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 19 penalty minutes. The Vipers were paced by Nathan Veres, who had one goal and one assist. Veres scored 5:56 into the second period to make the score 2-0 LaSalle. Kyler Carter provided the assist. LaSalle's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven London power plays. London was unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and LaSalle eventually piled up 48 shots on goal. LaSalle additionally got points from Brett Primeau, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brendan Harrogate also scored for LaSalle. More assists for LaSalle came via Graham Pickard, who had one and Nicolas Crescenzi and Mitch Defede, who each chipped in two. The Nationals were held below their usual level of production.
