Behind a great game by Zach Van Louwe, who had two goals and one assist, the Stratford Cullitons defeated the Cambridge Winter Hawks, 3-0.

Van Louwe found the back of the net short handed 6:00 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Stratford and again while 18:41 into the third to make the score 3-0 Stratford.

Stratford excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Cullitons' defense was surprisingly good. Stratford gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. Cambridge was unable to stop the Cullitons from sending pucks towards the net, and Stratford eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Stratford additionally got points from Shane O Brien, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Stratford were Deven Kropf, who had one.

The Winter Hawks could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Cambridge averages 2.6 goals per game.

The Cullitons' Nick Redman stopped 22 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Stratford incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Lucas Machalski made 37 saves for the Winter Hawks on 39 shots. Cambridge incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Winter Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Quinn Diamond was ejected from the game.
