Kropf's goals lift Stratford to 3-0 victory over Waterloo

Deven Kropf was all over the ice for the Stratford Cullitons, as he tallied two goals in Stratford's 3-0 win over the Waterloo Siskins.

Kropf found the back of the net 50 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stratford and again while on the power play 18:45 into the first to make the score 2-0 Stratford.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 12:58 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts.

The Cullitons' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Waterloo power plays. Stratford featured an improved defense during the game. The Cullitons average 2.7 goals allowed per game.

Stratford also got a goal from Carter Allen as well. In addition, Stratford received assists from Mitch Brooks, who had two and Tyler Randerson, Trevor Sauder, and Tyson Baker, who each chipped in one.

Waterloo's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The Siskins had been averaging 22.0 minutes in penalties per game. Waterloo could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Siskins average 4.4 goals per game.

Nicholas Caldwell rejected 16 shots on goal for Stratford. The Cullitons totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. For Stratford, Brooks was ejected from the game. Evgeny Kiselev recorded 20 saves for Waterloo. Team's Gary Mantz, Matt Doty, and Chase Campbell were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
