M1 Villanova University falls to M3-Bryn Athyn College in overtime, 6-5 (OT)

M3-Bryn Athyn College pulled out a 6-5 (OT) overtime victory over the M1 Villanova University Wildcats on a clutch goal by Travis McCurdy.

Although M3-Bryn Athyn College was up by as many as two goals in the third period, M1 Villanova University kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Wildcats pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Nicholas Schultz at 3:48 in the third period.

McCurdy was all over the ice for M3-Bryn Athyn College, as he tallied two goals in the win. McCurdy found the back of the net 17:43 into the third period to make the score 5-5 and again while 2:09 into the fourth to make the score 6-5 M3-Bryn Athyn College.

M3-Bryn Athyn College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M1 Villanova University to score on any of its four power plays. M3-Bryn Athyn College put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 16.9 it averages per game.
