M2 North Carolina University of shrugs off penalties, upends M2 Elon University, 6-3

The M2 Elon University Phoenix failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and M2 North Carolina University of shook off a number of penalties to win, 6-3.

In the losing effort, M2 Elon University was sparked by Sam Sarath, who registered two goals. Sarath scored the first of his two goals at 17 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 M2 Elon University. Matt Williamson provided the assist. Sarath's next tally made the score 5-3 M2 North Carolina University of with 2:00 left in the third period. A high sticking penalty on Benjamin Gurlitz had put the Phoenix on the power play. John MacDonald assisted on the tally.

In the losing effort, M2 Elon University was led by Sarath, who tallied two goals.
