M3-Hope College wins tough contest against M3-Michigan State University, 4-3

M3-Hope College gutted out a close 4-3 win against M3-Michigan State University.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Ryan Restum at 10:33 of the third period.

M3-Hope College was led by Restum, who had one goal.

In a losing effort, M3-Michigan State University was sparked by Will Badner, who racked up two goals. Badner scored the first of his two goals at 7:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Michigan State University. Chris Coyne assisted on the tally. Badner's next tally made the score 3-2 M3-Michigan State University with 12:27 left in the second period. Coyne picked up the assist.

M3-Hope College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M3-Michigan State University power plays.

Others who scored for M3-Hope College included Jared Lehman, Dennis Cain, and Caleb Morgan, who scored one goal each. In addition, M3-Hope College received assists from Eric Webb, who had two and Evan Fall and Rob Calvert, who contributed one each.

M3-Michigan State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.
