Kokkonen's big game bests Sydney Bears in 4-1 CBR Brave win

Anton Kokkonen had one goal and two assists to lead CBR Brave to a 4-1 victory over Sydney Bears.

Kokkonen got on the board by slotting home a goal 7:53 into the second period to make the score 2-1 CBR Brave. Mark Rummukainen provided the assist. Kokkonen dished an assist on Stephen Blunden's goal that made the score 1-1 at 2:46 into the second period. He added another helper on James Byers's goal that made the score 4-1 CBR Brave at 10:33 into the third period.

By firing 34 shots on goal, CBR Brave exceeded the 3.5 shots it averages per game this year.

In addition, CBR Brave received assists from Matthew Harvey, who had one and Mathieu Ouellette, who had four.

Sydney Bears put 22 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.8 it averages per game.

Sydney Bears was led by Ben Di Marco, who scored the team's only goal. Di Marco scored 3:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Sydney Bears. Dane Ludolph picked up the assist.

Petri Pitkanen recorded 21 saves for CBR Brave. CBR Brave incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sydney Bears' Daniel Palmkvist stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Sydney Bears incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
