M1 John Carroll University survives M1 Eastern Michigan University comeback, wins 5-4

The M1 Eastern Michigan University Eagles tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the M1 John Carroll University Blue Streaks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

A goal by Joe Lane put M1 John Carroll University up 3-0 in the second period, but M1 Eastern Michigan University pulled to within one on Jordan Roemer's tally 6:05 into the third period.

Logan Lopicka was all over the ice for the Blue Streaks, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Lopicka scored on the power play 13:33 into the third period to make the score 4-4. M1 John Carroll University earned a power play opportunity when Luke Dmytro was put in the box for tripping. Kevin Vinyard picked up the assist.

The Blue Streaks put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 3.4 they average per game.

M1 John Carroll University additionally got points from Richard Rhodes, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Vinyard, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Matthew Mchugh, who also had one goal and one assist.
