M2 Akron University of sunk by penalties, falls to M1 John Carroll University 5-2

A rash of penalties cost M2 Akron University of the game, as the M1 John Carroll University Blue Streaks netted five goals with a man advantage in a 5-2 win.

M1 John Carroll University was led by Maxwell Zwierlein, who registered one goal. Zwierlein scored on the power play 7:29 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 John Carroll University. The Blue Streaks earned a power play opportunity when Cory Berney was put in the box for hooking. Spencer Keglovic picked up the assist.
