Moroso's hat trick boosts M1 Western Michigan University over M2 Michigan State University, 6-1

Mike Moroso lifted the M1 Western Michigan University Stallions to a 6-1 victory with a hat trick against M2 Michigan State University.

Moroso's first goal came 1:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:16 into the second and at 10:11 into the third.

M2 Michigan State University was stymied by M1 Western Michigan University's netminder Brandon Haase, who stopped 28 shots during the victory. Haase managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.07 prior to the game.
